About Promise
I am a qualified teacher. I taught the FET phase at three SA schools and taught English as the second additional language for non-native speakers (Chinese students). I graduated from Stellenbosch University (PGCE), UWC (BA Psychology) at WITS (Bedhons) and am currently studying law at the University of Cape Town. Teaching is one of the things I enjoy in my usual conversation. I want to change something with academic education. I also want to influence the younger generation, but the most important way is to give them knowledge.

My teaching method is linked to general teaching and learning pedagogy. I use a teacher-centric approach to educate and often open up platforms for learners to participate freely in the classroom. I offer language classes from beginner to advanced level. Creating a welcoming atmosphere for learners is one of my main goals. It is also part of my goal to enable Learners to understand and relate to the concept.

Perfect! We were told that our 5 year old had not reached some development milestones, and would potentially be retained and repeat Grade 00 last year. Promise worked patiently with him to learn, enjoy learning and bring out his inner confidence to concentrate and participate in lessons at school. The progress she has made with him is both visible and impressive! We would definitely recommend her for tutoring.
