About Gage
I have worked as a classroom teacher for three years. Before that, I had experience working in preschools and elementary schools. I am currently a graduate student at UVM.
Outside of work and school I like to hike, ski, and cook. My favorite movie is Men in Black.

I am an experienced middle school teacher. I have worked with people as young as 3 and into high school. I use a hands-on and practical approach to math and science. My lessons are based on building an understanding of a concept rather than simply regurgitating information.
My typical lesson starts with learning a given skill through discovery and asking questions. Then, I tie the lesson to real life as often as possible.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my experience with people with learning challenges and trauma. I know how to work with those who struggle in school and who need that extra bit of support to be successful.
I specialize in math up to Geometry and Algebra, Astronomy, Natural Science, and general science up to 9th grade.

It has been a few years since I have had Mr. Sironi as a teacher so I don't remember a lot from 8th-grade math but I do know that I struggled a lot in that class, I've never been good at math and I've always have fallen behind but Mr. Sironi took time to help me understand what we were learning about and how to do it. He tried things like drawing pictures or using objects to help me get a better understanding.
