About April
As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive experience in pediatric settings, I bring a strong foundation of clinical knowledge, ethical practice, and evidence-based intervention to every session. I have supported children in developing foundational speech, language, and early literacy skills, including phonological awareness, phonology, articulation, expressive and receptive language, and the building blocks necessary for confident reading. I have additional training in core communication competencies addressing stuttering. Parents can feel assured that my guidance is grounded in years of hands-on experience across school-based and clinical environments.
Graduate students can also feel confident knowing that I have experience supervising and mentoring graduate students since 2020 providing structured feedback, clinical modeling, and support in developing sound clinical reasoning and professional skills.

I am currently stepping away from in-person clinical practice to focus on caring for my young children. During this season, I’m excited to continue contributing to the field in a new way by sharing my clinical experience and supporting others.
I have worked with students from preschool through age 25 across a wide range of diagnoses and levels of need. I have also provided clinical supervision for students completing graduate school in speech-language pathology. I’m especially passionate about mentoring graduate students who are preparing to enter the profession. My goal is to help future SLPs build confidence, strengthen their clinical reasoning, and feel well-prepared as they transition into the workforce.
In addition, I am welcoming new virtual speech support clients. I have particular skills in early reading support, articulation and phonology, foundational language skills, and core communication competencies addressing stuttering. These sessions are designed to complement and reinforce services provided by a licensed SLP in your state. Together, we focus on building confidence, strengthening skills, and supporting carryover into everyday routines. Please note that these sessions are educational and supplemental in nature and are not intended to diagnose or treat speech-language disorders. While I hold an active SLP license in Texas, these services are provided as enrichment and practice support rather than medical or clinical therapy.
I currently work with students ages 4 - 25 and am happy to offer sibling group sessions at a reduced rate when appropriate.
