As an international educational consultant, I have dedicated over a quarter of a century to guiding high-achieving students toward academic excellence in international environments. After more than a quarter of a century preparing students in English Language and Literature, I have learned that success in high-performance English exams depends on a precise understanding of the specific criteria of each assessment system. My work in the virtual classroom goes far beyond simply answering recurring questions; I teach students to structure their analytical thinking from a rigorous critical thinking perspective, empowering them to tackle complex problems with absolute clarity. As this is a premium international consulting service, both the classes and all direct communication with families are conducted exclusively in English.
I design the sessions based on the deconstruction of real exam papers and real exam questions, the strategic optimization of Internal Assessment (IA), a complete mastery of the marking schemes, and the optimization of the practical and research components of each program or exam. We analyze, step by step, the problem-solving methodologies and how to translate them onto paper to strictly comply with the assessment criteria of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and other official rubrics. I offer a proven and specifically designed roadmap to achieve the highest possible grade in each of the international frameworks:
• A-Levels: Comprehensive coverage of the specific Cambridge International A-Level English Literature (9695) and A-Level English Language (9093) codes to ensure the highest possible grade of A*, mastering the mechanics of diachronic linguistic analysis, the evolutionary linguistics of language change, mother tongue acquisition and bilingualism, along with deep microstructural analysis of Shakespeare's works, pre-20th century poetry and postcolonial narrative through highly technical philological commentary and advanced stylistic deconstruction.
• International Baccalaureate (IB): Comprehensive, advanced-level approach to the IB English A: Literature HL and IB English A: Language and Literature HL programs for the highest possible grade of 7, rigorously mastering critical literary theory, global comparative analysis, the subtleties of stylistic devices, and persuasive rhetoric techniques, with engineering-level technical support for the Higher Level Essay (HL Essay) and the methodological deconstruction of non-literary texts in the Internal Assessment (IA).
• Advanced Placement (AP): Intensive preparation for the highest possible grade of 5 in AP English Literature and Composition and AP English Language and Composition, training the analytical problem-solving skills and technical precision required for open-ended questions (FRQs). We focus comprehensively on argumentative synthesis based on complex evidence, the analysis of Aristotelian and Ciceronian rhetorical strategies, strict mastery of the stylistic sophistication rubric, and the dissection of complex lyrical structures through critical commentary of high conceptual density.
• GMAT Verbal and GRE Verbal: High-level strategic preparation aimed at professionals and university graduates, breaking down the formal logic of the Critical Reasoning sections, deconstructing the structural density of Reading Comprehension (for the GMAT), and optimizing high-frequency vocabulary and syntactic accuracy for the GRE to achieve elite percentiles (95th percentile).
• IELTS and TOEFL: Intensive advanced language immersion training focused on achieving top score bands (IELTS 8.5+ / TOEFL 115+), mastering structural lexical sophistication, discourse coherence, and the specific marking schemes required by the world's most prestigious universities.
