About James
Having recently completed my own GCSEs, I understand exactly what students face — the pressure, the tricky topics, and the importance of exam technique. My aim is to make difficult concepts clear, build confidence, and help students reach their full potential. I take pride in being reliable, approachable and professional in my lessons, and I tailor each session to the student’s needs. I am a Year 12 A-Level student in London, currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics with predicted grades of AAAA. At GCSE I achieved (concealed information), including top grades in both Maths and Physics. My tutoring is aimed at GCSE students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve higher exam results. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and exam technique, making sure students know not only the content but also how to apply it under exam conditions. Lessons typically last one hour, delivered online, and are tailored to the individual — whether that’s revising weak topics, working through past papers, or developing strong study habits. I encourage questions throughout and adjust the pace depending on the student’s needs. Because I’ve recently sat the same exams myself, I know exactly what examiners are looking for and how to avoid the common mistakes. My approach is supportive and approachable, making lessons engaging while pushing students to reach their potential. The first lesson is free, so students can try it out with no obligation.
