About Adam
I'm an A-level student studying Maths, Economics and Geography, and I'm predicted an A* in Maths. At GCSE I achieved a grade 8 in Maths and a 7 in Further Maths — and because I sat those exams so recently, I know exactly what examiners look for and remember what it's like to be on the other side of the desk. I've been tutoring one-to-one for over a year, from private sessions to a school programme supporting disadvantaged students, which earned me a Jack Petchey Award. I genuinely enjoy the moment a concept clicks for a student, and my aim is always to make maths feel manageable rather than intimidating.

I've got over a year's experience tutoring maths one-to-one, both privately and through my school, where I tutored disadvantaged students and won a Jack Petchey Award for it. I've learnt that every student is different, so my approach changes with each one. For some, more structure works best — working through exam questions and filling any gaps in knowledge. For others, a more flexible approach works better, exploring and practising a range of topics within the lesson. I also help students with organisation and revision strategies, so schoolwork never becomes overwhelming.
Lessons are flexible, but they work best as one-hour sessions, once a week.
As an A-level student, I am confident to teach GCSE maths (all exam boards) as well as either the 11+ or SATs, and of course anything in between!
