About Thomas
As a student myself, I understand how overwhelming and stressful school can be and how difficult it can be to understand everything first time at school which is why I want to help. Sometimes teachers can make maths needlessly intimidating and confusing, and I aim to break down these barriers so my students can achieve their full potential. I also have a very strong mathematical background, achieving a 9 in GCSE maths and A*A* predicted in A Level Maths and Further Maths.

Having just completed my GCSES less than a year ago, I am extremely familiar with the mathematical concepts and groundings that are needed for KS3 and GCSE and what examiners are looking for. I have also 6 months of experience in tutoring maths and volunteer to do 1:1 maths booster sessions at school. As a student myself, I can easily relate to my students and see maths from their perspective, which allows them to see maths as less of a burden! My lessons are practice focused and I like students to be doing as much maths practice as possible during our sessions as this is the best way to improve.
