About Alisha
I am an A-level student with experience in tutoring secondary school students in maths and science. Having just finished Year 11, I am up-to-date with GCSE content and exam technique, as well as secondary school content in general. I achieved 9s in all sciences and maths and am currently studying maths, further maths, biology and chemistry at Bedford Modern School sixth form.

I believe the most important step to take when tutoring a child is to understand their thought processes as they learn subject material. Through communication and observing their capability, we can work together to bridge any gaps and build confidence in targeted topics. Teaching them to make links between topics will help them to apply what they have learned across the subject curriculum and strengthen their understanding. I find that interactivity and focussed walkthroughs are the foundation to effective learning. Being of a similar age to the students I will be tutoring will help me to understand them and provide the extra push to help them reach their full potential.
