About Kya
I am a dedicated student passionate for supporting secondary school students through online lessons. I focus on helping students tackle exam questions they find unfamiliar and build confidence in their weaker areas through targeted practice. Since 2021, I’ve taken part in every UKMT Maths Challenge and recently achieved a Gold Certificate in the Kangaroo round, reflecting my strong understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. Having previously mentored younger year groups online, I know how to explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to suit different learners. Whether a student needs help catching up or pushing for top grades, I’m here to support them every step of the way.

I mentor secondary school students in maths, mainly online. My teaching style focuses on going through exam questions that students are unfamiliar with. I target their weaker areas using similar practice questions to build confidence and understanding. Lessons are usually 45 minutes long but can be adjusted if needed. I’ve previously mentored younger year groups in person voluntarily as maths ambassador in my school and understand how to support different learning levels (mainly GCSE students)
