About Eleanor
I am currently in my second year of A-Level Spanish and am predicted an A*. I really enjoy teaching and have lots of experience through volunteering as a Modern Foreign Languages leader, which involved giving Spanish lessons to entire classes in the junior school and tutoring a GCSE pupil last year. As a senior cadet in my Combined Cadet Force, I teach and lead junior pupils in both practical and theoretical aspects of their course. In order to be qualified for this, I had to give multiple lessons, for which crucial pass points included regularly ensuring that students understood the material, the detail of my lesson plan and clarity of explanation.

Crucial to any lesson is that it is tailored to the student's needs, from learning methods that work for them to the topics or skills they find difficult. Through discussion with the student and my own analysis, I identify these areas so that my teaching is as beneficial to the student as possible. Key to gaining confidence in all areas of a language, is speaking in that language regularly and I therefore place huge emphasis on general conversation and use of the target language throughout lessons. This also helps develop other skills such as reading, writing and listening by widening the student's vocabulary and spontaneity of expression.
