About Ted
I am currently studying Law at the University of Oxford and achieved an A* in A Level English Language. English Language developed my ability to analyse texts with precision and structure arguments clearly — skills that have been invaluable in my legal studies.
At A Level, success comes from moving beyond description to thoughtful analysis. I particularly enjoy helping students approach unseen texts confidently, apply linguistic terminology accurately, and structure essays in a way that is both clear and sophisticated. Whether studying language change, discourse, or child language acquisition, I focus on helping students understand how and why language works in context.

I love to teach. I have an ability to break challenging content down into manageable chunks and teach it in a way which makes the information less intimidating. I attained three A* grades in A Levels of English Language, Religious Studies, and Law - I will gladly tutor all three subjects. My lessons vary depending on the student and are almost wholly flexible to suit their preferences and needs. I have lots of resources and exercises ready for you, get in touch! Hourly rate of £25, but I offer a 5 hour package for £100.
