About Savannah
I’m a guitarist and teacher with 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in World Music, specialising in Guitar Traditions. My academic background gave me a wide appreciation for music across cultures, but my true passion has been shred, metal, and progressive rock. These are genres that thrive on energy, precision, and creativity. I help students master techniques that open the door to advanced playing, from sweeping arpeggios to high-speed alternate picking. My lessons combine technical exercises with real musical application. I work with both young learners who are discovering their passion and adult students chasing ambitious goals. Teaching is about meeting students where they are and guiding them forward step by step. I emphasise clean execution and control before layering on speed. This ensures confidence grows naturally over time. My methods also draw on influences from world music, adding depth and originality to guitar phrasing. Lessons are engaging, structured, and designed to challenge without overwhelming. I aim to give students both the skills and the mindset of a strong guitarist.
