• 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I have loved languages since a very young age. I had a Spanish nanny who used to teach me Spanish at home and since then I became enthusiastic. It was like having a superpower being able to communicate in another language!

• 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  Rousseau was the most influential literary figure of the 18th century. His Discourse on Inequality and his Social Contract have placed their stamp on many diverse political and economic theories.
  He posits that any legitimate state must be based on the general will, which is the fundamental source of sovereignty.

• 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

  Rien ne va plus. No more bets.

• 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  I can read book in French and I think it is the most amazing language of all as it sounds beautiful and so elegant ! Last but not least I love teaching French to my students at any level

• 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  Probably the Phonics element followed by the accents and learning that each noun has a gender , either feminine or masculine!

• 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  Do little but everyday. When you show up for yourself you create new neurological pathways to enable your brain to take on more knowledge each day and build a Growth Mindset

• 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  I lived in Spain, France and Italy and when you live abroad even just for 6 months it is incredible how much you learn !
  When I came back to London I could speak French fluently after spending 9 months in Paris.

  I am passionate about Education in General. I am a Teacher in a London school in central London. I have the best and latest Ed-Tech resources that I use to complement my teaching of Mathematics, English, Science at KS1 and KS2
