About Tapi
I'm Tapi, a second-year student at the University of Manchester.
I have played piano since I was 11 and won a music scholarship at school. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Music performance.
I play pieces such as Ludovico Einaudi's Experience and Divenire. I can also hear a song and work it out by ear, usually on the first listen. That is the skill I most enjoy teaching.
Most beginners don't want scales for a year before playing anything real. Neither did I. My lessons get you playing a recognisable song in your first session, then build reading, chords and technique around the music you actually want to play.
I teach clearly and patiently, one idea at a time and you will always know what to practise and why.

Who it's for: complete beginners and returning players, especially adults. No experience needed.
What you'll learn:
• Lesson 1: We find your way around the keyboard and play your first melody.
• Lesson 2: We learn four chords that unlock hundreds of pop songs.
• Lesson 3: We learn to read simple sheet music and play the flowing Einaudi sound.
After that, we build towards a song you choose. Einaudi, film music, pop or something else entirely.
How lessons work: 60 minutes online. You get written notes and a short daily practice plan after every lesson. Fifteen minutes a day is enough to progress quickly.
What you need: a keyboard or digital piano with at least 61 keys and a phone or webcam that shows your hands.
Message me with the song you would most like to play.
We will work together to get there.
