About Alejandra
Hi! I’m Alejandra, a Mexican teacher, baker, artist, and lifelong lover of learning. ️
I’m originally from Coahuila, Northern Mexico, where I grew up near the Texas border surrounded by the flavors of home—carne asada, homemade flour tortillas, freshly made molcajete salsa, and family gatherings around the kitchen. Coahuila is also home to the city of Piedras Negras, where the famous nachos were created!
I learned many of these traditions from my mom and grandmother, and today I love sharing the food and flavors I grew up with in a simple, approachable way.
I’m patient, creative, and believe cooking should be enjoyable—not intimidating. Whether you’re starting from scratch or trying to finally get that recipe right, I’d love to help you bring a little taste of Mexico into your kitchen. ️

Learn Mexican cooking and baking with a Mexican teacher who specializes in the flavors of Northern Mexico.
I teach beloved Mexican classics like flour tortillas, tamales, mole, Mexican rice, caldos, tostadas, barbacoa, and tacos, as well as Mexican desserts, pastries, and artisan-style baking—all inspired by what I learned from my mom and grandmother. ️
My lessons are simple, practical, and personalized. You don’t need to be an experienced cook or have special equipment. We can cook from scratch or use smart shortcuts while keeping that delicious Mexican flavor.
And if you’ve tried a recipe from YouTube or TikTok and it just doesn’t come out right, bring it to class! I’ll help you figure out what went wrong and how to fix it.
Authentic Mexican food doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to taste like home. ️
