About Juliette
When I'm not a teacher, I'm a translator and proofreader. I am passionate about languages, intercultural learning, and education. I speak fluently four languages, Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, the latter being my mother tongue. I completed my university studies in Paris, and of course I studied languages! I have a master degree of professional translation.
I have lived in different parts of the world, including Chile, Brazil, and the U.S. I'm currently living in Sydney.

"Have fun and learn" is what I believe in. A safe environment, topics tailored to the learner's interests, a variety of exercises that can cater different learning styles, real-life situations and the use of authentic documents in Spanish (audio, video, texts) is what you will get in my classes. My teaching method is based on the action-oriented approach which focuses on a pragmatic use of the language enabling the learner to achieve tasks in different contexts. This approach is also used as a reference in the European Union to define levels of proficiency in foreign languages. This means that you will not only learn the language, its grammar and vocabulary, you will also gain cultural knowledge.
