About Meredith
I am a passionate singing instructor with 6 years of teaching experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. My lessons blend structure and creativity, guiding students through vocal technique, theory, and ear development while encouraging expressive improvisation. I draw on multiple vocal styles, helping singers explore versatility and develop their unique voice.
Every lesson is tailored to individual goals, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. I focus on building solid foundations in breath control, pitch accuracy, and tone while nurturing musicality and confidence. Improvisation exercises are integrated to make learning dynamic, fun, and personally expressive.
I emphasise both technical mastery and emotional connection, helping students perform with clarity and authenticity. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, improving pitch accuracy, and enhancing vocal expression for every singer. I emphasise tailored techniques that suit each student’s vocal range and style, helping them perform with ease and authenticity. Breathing exercises are central to my lessons, supporting stamina, control, and expressive phrasing.
Vocal health routines are incorporated to protect the voice while encouraging growth. Students learn how posture, warm-ups, and hydration directly impact their performance. I guide singers to develop their ear through apps, metronomes, and structured exercises, making pitch training both effective and engaging.
Recording devices play a key role, allowing students to hear subtle improvements and adjust their technique in real time. I encourage self-reflection and constructive feedback to foster independence and artistic confidence. Exercises are tailored to strengthen phrasing, dynamics, and emotional delivery.
