• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I'm passionate about Maths and Rubik's Cube because they both involve problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. I developed an interest in Maths at a young age and later discovered the Rubik's Cube, which I found fascinating. I enjoyed the challenge of solving it and soon became proficient. I now enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills with others.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My motivation to teach comes from my own mentors and teachers who inspired me to share my passion for Maths and cubing. I want to pay it forward and help students develop their problem-solving skills, build confidence, and discover the joy of learning.

• How does your work help society?

  My work helps society by developing critical thinkers, problem solvers, and creative individuals who can tackle real-world challenges. By teaching Maths and Rubik's Cube, I'm helping students develop essential skills for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is Ernő Rubik, the inventor of the Rubik's Cube. He's a brilliant mathematician and puzzle enthusiast who created something that has brought joy and challenge to millions of people worldwide. I admire his creativity, perseverance, and passion for problem-solving.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, and puzzle-solving (of course!). I also love exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and learning new skills like photography and coding.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One anecdote that stands out is when a student finally solved the Rubik's Cube after months of practice. They cried tears of joy and said it was the most accomplished they'd ever felt. Moments like those remind me why I teach - to empower students with new skills and confidence.
