About Hema
I am a fully qualified and experienced Primary School teacher, currently teaching Y4 full time. I am very familiar with the whole primary English curriculum as I have taught all the different year groups from Y1 to Y6 in the past 8 years. I have extensive experience of teaching EAL and SEN pupils. I have taught pupils as part of a whole class, in small groups and also as 1 to 1.
I have been tutoring on the weekends for the past 3 years as well.

I encourage my pupils to read fluently and teach them to write correct spellings, grammar and punctuation while writing. When children are able to express themselves in creative writing, using different genres, it helps them build the self confidence that they need in every day school life to communicate well orally and in writing. I am willing to support them in their learning journey so that they reach their true potential.
