About Stewart
Professional jazz saxophonist for 42 years. Taught by Arnie Lawrence, who dedicated his life to this music and played with all the best like Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Sonny Rollins, Lew Tabackin, Nat Adderley, and Stan Getz. As such, I possess the rarest kind of jazz training that cannot be emulated in a conservatory.

My teaching approach is a hybrid of conservatory learning and old school jazz training. While most sax teachers approach lessons with only reading, exercises, scales, chords, etc, I gravitate to expression once the fundamentals are established. My job is to ensure that each student destroys all limitations to their creative potential. LISTEN, PRACTICE, & PERFORM are the 3 things that all saxophonists must incorporate into mastering this craft. Let me make that happen for you!!!!
