About Anastasija

I am a concert pianist and piano teacher with Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from Austria and Slovenia. My concert activity has taken me across Europe and the USA, performing both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. I have won over 30 prizes at international piano competitions and have participated in numerous international masterclasses with renowned professors, which have continuously shaped my artistic and pedagogical approach. With more than 5 years of teaching experience, I work with students from all around the world, guiding pianists of all levels—from beginners discovering the piano for the first time to advanced students preparing for competitions, auditions, and exams. My students have won prizes at international competitions, successfully performed in concerts and festivals, and developed strong technical and musical foundations with confidence and artistry. My lessons are motivating, highly structured, and always tailored to each student’s individual goals, strengths, and learning style.

I am allowing for maximum flexibility to suit student needs. My aim is to keep my students always motivated and challenged while progressing with their skills and abilities.
Whether you are a complete beginner, an advanced pianist, or simply want to play for fun, I adapt my approach to your goals and learning.
On the lessons we will work on:
Building a solid technique with relaxed, natural movements
Developing musicality and expression so you can play with confidence and emotion
Learning repertoire you love (classical, modern, or even film/game music)
Improving sight-reading, rhythm, and theory in a practical and fun way
Preparing for exams, auditions, or competitions if that’s your aim
For me, every student is unique. Some prefer structured lessons with clear goals, while others enjoy a more creative, playful approach. I always make sure the lessons are engaging and motivating, so you feel progress after every session.

Find out more about Anastasija

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

I discovered my passion for music when I would hear a song and try to play it on the piano. Gradually, I learned the notes, and the piano quickly became my favorite instrument.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I love classical, jazz, and rock music. Pieces by Chopin, improvisations in jazz, or timeless rock songs all inspire me and never feel repetitive.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

The most riveting course I could give would focus on musical expression and interpretation—teaching students how to bring emotion and storytelling into every piece. It’s challenging because it requires both technical skill and deep sensitivity to the music.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

Every instrument is difficult in its own way. The piano requires coordination and independence of hands, while other instruments, like violin or flute, demand precise control of tone and breath. Each instrument has its unique challenges.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

Patience, consistent daily practice, and a willingness to push beyond comfort zones. Hard work every day, combined with passion, is the key to growth and success in music.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Leonard Bernstein, Martha Argerich, and Vladimir Horowitz. Bernstein for his energy and deep musical understanding; Argerich for her fiery passion and technical brilliance; and Horowitz for his expressive depth and mastery that transcends generations. I would love to hear their thoughts on music and life in an intimate setting.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

During a piano competition, I felt nervous and hesitant to go on stage. Then I reminded myself: “The music is more important than stage fright.” Focusing on the music helped me play freely and expressively, teaching me to let the music guide me over fear.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I tailor every lesson to the student’s personality, musical taste, and learning pace. I combine technical exercises with expressive interpretation, making lessons both fun and meaningful. Most importantly, I aim to inspire confidence and a lasting love for music in every student.
