About Margarita

I am a violinist and licensed Music graduate who trained in Venezuela’s Sistema de Orquestas, gaining a strong foundation in ensemble performance and musical discipline. During my university studies, I focused on grammar, history, research, and pedagogy, which gives me the knowledge and skills to be an effective Spanish teacher.

I have over five years of teaching experience with a diverse range of students, having taught at a conservatory in Venezuela, a music academy in Naperville, Illinois, and public schools in Chicago. This experience has allowed me to adapt lessons to different ages, levels, and learning styles, always ensuring a personalized, engaging, and professional approach.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the learning process—whether in music or Spanish.

About the lesson

I am a violinist and licensed Music graduate with over five years of teaching experience at respected institutions in the U.S. and Venezuela. My approach is flexible, student-centered, and goal-oriented, adapting to each learner’s needs, pace, and interests.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I use a clear and structured methodology, combining step-by-step skill building with practical exercises and cultural context. For music, I focus on technique, musicality, and theory, always connecting lessons to the student’s personal goals. For Spanish, I emphasize real-life communication, integrating conversation, writing, and cultural understanding.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Warm-up / review: Revisiting previous concepts or skills

Main focus: Introducing new material or technique, with hands-on practice

Application / exercises: Applying knowledge in music pieces or conversational/written tasks

Feedback & next steps: Setting goals and assigning practice for independent growth

What Sets Me Apart:
I combine music and language teaching with a deep understanding of culture and expression. I am adaptable, supportive, and committed to meeting each student’s individual needs, helping them gain confidence, enjoy the learning process, and progress steadily.

Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons are suitable for students of all ages and levels: beginners, intermediate, or advanced musicians; learners of Spanish for conversation, writing, or cultural fluency; and anyone looking for a personalized, engaging, and practical learning experience.
