About Shankar Dev
Hello! I am SHANKAR DEV JHA, a PhD student in Geography at Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra, with a deep passion for teaching Mathematics. I completed 12th in PCM from Gita Niketan Awasiya Vidyalaya, Kurukshetra followed by BSc (Hons) in Geography from University of Rajasthan and MSc in Geography from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. I have cleared the UGC NET exam 5 times, CDS written exam twice, and have appeared for UPSC exams, clearing CSAT. Alongside these achievements, I have extensive experience teaching Mathematics passionately to students of Classes 8–10. My classes (in Hinglish) focus on concept clarity, problem-solving, and exam-oriented strategies, ensuring students build confidence, master fundamentals, and enjoy learning Mathematics.

My Teaching Approach 1. Teaching Techniques & Methods: I believe in making Mathematics simple and logical rather than mechanical. I use concept-based teaching, real-life examples, and step-by-step explanations to ensure students understand the “why” behind every solution. I also integrate shortcuts, tricks, and visual methods where helpful, so learning becomes engaging. 2. Structure of a Class: Concept Introduction: Begin with a brief explanation of the topic. Illustration: Solve simple problems to show application. Practice Together: Guide students through exercises. Independent Practice: Students attempt problems on their own. Doubt Clearing & Recap: Resolve queries and summarize key points. 3. Special Features as a Teacher: Teaching in Hinglish (easy mix of Hindi + English for better understanding). Focus on strong fundamentals to prepare for both school exams & future competitive exams. Interactive & student-friendly style so students don’t hesitate to ask questions. Emphasis on regular practice & feedback to track progress. 4. Classes Intended For: I primarily teach school children of Classes 8, 9, and 10 who want to build a strong foundation in Mathematics, gain confidence, and improve their scores. However, my methods are flexible enough to support learners preparing for competitive basics too.
