About George
One of my favourite things about maths is when something finally clicks and you understand a concept and its beauty. I equally enjoy helping other people reach this stage, and seeing the 'aha' moment on their face. I'll start my master's degree in maths in September. I'm a graduate from the University of Cambridge. My main mathematical interests are algebra, number theory, combinatorics and probability.

I have been tutoring for over two years at A-level and 1st year undergraduate level, and have also helped with admissions tests such as MAT and TMUA. I can tutor STEP as well. Lessons will be evenings or weekends, typically for one or two hours. I'll ask you where you want to improve, or what area you want help with. In my mind, solving problems is the best way to learn a particular area of maths. Qualifications: 3A*, 1A at A-level, S in STEP 2 and 3, BA in Mathematics from University of Cambridge (2:1). I can do lessons online or in person.

Since my son George was about twelve I have been aware that he is not only a remarkable mathematician but also excellent at communicating. During his time at Norwich School (where he was reckoned to be their finest mathematician in living memory), he was always happy to help younger pupils. In recent times I have witnessed him tutoring difficult subjects online and have been impressed by his clarity and patience.
I had George tutor me for my maths A level, to ensure I got the required grade for the Physics degree course I had applied for. Writing this, I am about to start the second year at Uni, and can definitely say that the maths coaching helped me to achieve the required grade. I found him to be very patient and his clear explanations helped me to gain valuable knowledge in a short space of time. I would highly recommend George to anyone looking for maths tuition.
