About Erika
I've been giving private Italian lessons for more than four years and I have cooperated with Italian schools in Australia in the last three, teaching my beautiful language to singular students, small groups or bigger classes. When I’m not teaching, I’m also a certified Italian interpreter and as you never stop learning, I’m currently in the process of becoming an Italian certified translator, too!

I don't have a particular methodology, because my classes are tailored following each student's needs. I try to focus on strengths to improve confidence, but especially on weaknesses to make them strong points. I like to use different types of materials: videos for listening comprehension, role plays for oral production, articles or short stories for writing comprehension and if you are keen, homework for written production!! I prepare all my materials by myself and provide them for FREE to my students, giving them tips on how to improve Italian in their everyday life and not only in class!! If I’m working with an absolute beginner, I usually recommend my students buy an Italian book that is great for starting off and perfect for practicing in between classes. But I’m glad to discuss options with every student or group. I want my students to succeed, to achieve their goals and most importantly to become independent Italian speakers! Perfect! We find Erika to be a delightful teacher. She has a friendly personality, is versatile and uses creative and engaging learning strategies. She has bonded with our daughter and has motivated her to work hard on her written and spoken Italian. Our daughter is looking forward to continuing lessons with her in 2026.
Perfect! I’ve been learning Italian with Erika for a month so far, and it’s been such a positive experience. She’s warm, patient, and very skilled. She explains things clearly and in a way that makes the language feel much more approachable and easy to understand.

I listened to Erika while she was teaching Italian and she is very professional, she puts passion and dedication into what she does. Highly recommended
I have been studying Italian for 3 years! And all I can say is she is so calm, so knowledgeable and makes all my lessons enjoyable (with laughters). You can tell she cares and tailors your lesson to were you are at. Im a slower learn and not once did I feel like rushed or judged. I would highly recommend if you are wanting to lean Italian. Erika was my Italian teacher when I was planning a trip to Italy. Erika is so down to earth and easy to talk to. She really takes the time to listen and guide you through learning with such patience. She gave me the confidence to continue learning even when it got hard and I loved every second of it! Couldn’t recommend her more as an Italian teacher, you can tell she loves what she does and loves the Italian language.
Erika is very professional yet friendly and always up for a joke. Her way of teaching is fun and engaging, she always personalize her classes to suit her students and it shows.
