About Sàvio

Hi! I'm Sávio Faschét, a professional singer, vocal coach, and actor from Brazil. I’m also a countertenor — which means I’ve spent years mastering vocal technique in both classical and contemporary styles. I’ve performed in operas, premieres, international competitions, and now I love helping others unlock their voices. But more than that, I know how scary or vulnerable singing can feel — especially at first. That’s why I create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and excited to grow. No judgment, just real vocal development. If you’re curious, frustrated, ambitious, or just want to sing freely — this is for you. Let’s get started!

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I discovered my passion for music as a teenager, when I started exploring singing more seriously. Although my voice is my primary instrument, it always felt like something much deeper than just sound, it became a way to connect with people and with myself. Later, during my formal studies in music and theatre, I realized how much the voice can be shaped, expanded, and used as a unique instrument. From that moment, I never looked back.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

Absolutely. I can listen endlessly to Baroque Opera and Björk because her music blends experimentation, raw emotion, and theatricality in a way that always inspires me. I also return often to Bossa Nova... it’s soothing, sophisticated, and rooted in my cultural identity. Both styles bring me a balance of comfort and creative spark.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or 'riveting' lesson you could personally give to one of your students.

One of the most fascinating lessons I give is about apoggio, vibrato e release in the high notes. Many singers fear using this techniques in contemporary styles, thinking it sounds artificial or outdated, but in reality, it can unlock freedom and support in the voice, especially in high or emotionally intense passages. Guiding a student from resistance to suddenly discovering vibrato as a natural part of their singing is always thrilling. The transformation feels like a door opening to a whole new expressive world.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

The human voice. Unlike other instruments, you can’t see or directly touch it, it’s hidden inside your body. It requires not only technical understanding but also emotional awareness, physical coordination, and mental discipline. And since every voice is unique, there is no universal manual; you have to listen carefully and adapt. That’s what makes it so complex, but also endlessly fascinating... Not to mention the fact that we are the only instrument with access to the text in multiple languages.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

Consistency, curiosity, and empathy. Consistency in practicing and teaching, curiosity to never stop learning, and empathy to understand each student’s journey. In music, technical skills are essential, but connecting with people and guiding them with patience is what truly creates success for both teacher and student.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

I’d love to meet Björk, because her artistry has shaped the way I view music as something limitless. Marina Lima, for her incredible songwriting and for representing a very authentic voice in Brazilian popular music. And Maria Callas, because even though she’s from another era, I’d love to sit down and absorb her insights about passion, artistry, and discipline. That table would be full of fire, wisdom, and a little bit of mystery.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your musical journey, or your days at 'music school'.

During my time at music school, I remember being terrified before one of my first performances of contemporary opera. It was a premiere of a challenging piece, and everything felt overwhelming. But the moment I stepped on stage, something shifted, I realized that fear could actually be transformed into energy and intensity. That experience shaped the way I perform and teach today: fear is not an enemy, but rather a force you can channel into something powerful.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I combine rigorous vocal technique with a human, empathetic approach. My students often tell me they feel both challenged and supported, which I believe is essential for growth. I also bring my experience as a professional singer on international stages, which gives me a broad perspective. But above all, I try to make every lesson enjoyable and inspiring because music should be about joy as much as discipline.
