Learn Guitar from Scratch Through Music Theory, Creativity, and Practical Playing Skills

Toko is my cousin. I'd been practising for a while but wasn't really seeing much progress. His little sister overheard me talking about it, and not long after, he flicked me a message.

I was pretty excited to jam with him, but honestly, my expectations weren't that high. I'd already spent months trying to figure it out myself, so I wasn't expecting a few hours to make much of a difference.

But I was wrong.

Once we started, it was like I'd finally broken through a wall. He had an answer for pretty much every question I threw at him, he showed me what my progression could actually look like, and helped me work on things I hadn't even thought about improving.

The biggest thing for me was that he knew exactly what I needed to work on and how to explain it in a way that made sense, and I could actually see the difference by the end of it.

I went in thinking I'd pick up a few pointers and ended up getting more out of those few hours than I had from months of practising on my own. Definitely recommend him.

Met Toko scrolling on TikTok wanting to learn guitar. Watched a few of his videos; he is a very welcoming and helpful teacher for beginner guitarists, always happy to reach out and answer questions you may have. He is happy to help people learn to the best of his abilities. From what I've seen, he looks like a very fun, chill person to be around as well, bringing a calm aura into anyone's space.
