About Danica
Hey there! I’m Danica—chilled, sarcastic, and passionate about all things German (even if chilled isn’t traditionally German, haha). Born into a fully German family, I’ve been speaking the language fluently my entire life.
I’ve tutored German before, helping foreign-language students refine their skills, and I’m confident in my ability to teach professionally and accurately. While I’m not a formally trained teacher, I hold a DSD (Sprachdiplom) with a C2 score, achieved a 1 in German First Language in Matric, and have even written my own books (though they remain tucked away in my personal archive).
Learning a language is a two-way street—if you bring your dedication, I’ll be right there to guide you through your journey. Expect a mix of straightforward lessons, random conversations, and a touch of humor along the way.
And while teaching German and writing novels are my passions, I promise I do have other hobbies. Oh, and I make a mean lasagna if that counts for anything! :D

As a trilingual speaker of Afrikaans, English, and German, I offer flexible communication options to ensure you feel comfortable and supported. My lessons are straightforward, with clear themes, goals, and objectives for each session.
In each lesson, we’ll focus on building new skills while reinforcing what you’ve already learned—because practice truly makes perfect. To keep things engaging, I incorporate fun learning games, especially for mastering German vocabulary and grammar. You’ll also have exercises during lessons and activities to complete between sessions, making your learning consistent and effective.
Don’t stress about learning German—it’s a complex language, but imagine how confident and impressive you’ll feel speaking it fluently!
Note: Classes are only available for individuals aged 18 and older.

By far the best language teacher i‘ve ever had. Danica is very patient, her explanations are clear and makes topics simple. i want from A1 to B1 in German and i am confident in my speaking with each passing lesson. The lessons are fun, interactive and i always look forward to being in class. I highly recommend Danica to anyone who wants to learn German, she is the Best.
