About Joel
I am a native English teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching adults and children in academies, in-company classes, private and online. My strength as a teacher, apart from my experience in preparing people for exams, such as the FCE or CAE; as well as conversation and writing practices, business English, etc., are one of my skills to create positive working relationships with people from all walks of life. My students always leave the class with a smile on their faces. In my spare time I write, play music and read about politics and economics. I love fantasy and science fiction and I am addicted to chocolate!

My teaching method really depends on the needs of the student. A typical general English class would start with some conversation, some questions about the week and / or something more specific related to the topic of the class. I provide a variety of materials in class, from videos to reading and listening on various topics to help expand vocabulary while also focusing on grammatical structures. I have been praised for my clear and easy to understand grammatical explanations, followed by practice-oriented speaking activities to help my students move forward so they can express themselves freely speaking or writing about the past, present, future, conditionals, modal verbs, etc.
