Hi, I’m Bára! I grew up in Denmark as a child and fell in love with the language and culture. I know what it’s like to start learning a new language, so my lessons are always patient, supportive, and fun. I love helping beginners build confidence step by step and start using Danish in real conversations.

My approach I focus on creating a supportive, enjoyable environment where beginners can feel confident exploring Danish without pressure. I use a mix of conversational practice, pronunciation drills, vocabulary building, and simple grammar explanations. I often bring in elements of Danish culture to make lessons both practical and fun. Lesson structure Most lessons are around 60 minutes, but that can be tailored to your needs. A typical class includes a short warm-up introduction of new vocabulary or grammar, guided practice through dialogue or exercises, and a recap at the end to reinforce learning. Qualifications and experience I grew up in Denmark as a child and learnt Danish at the same time as my native language, so I have a natural feel for the way the language is spoken day-to-day. I also have experience tutoring in other subjects, which has helped me develop clear, patient, and adaptable teaching methods. Who my lessons are for My classes are designed for beginners of all ages who are just starting their Danish journey. Whether you’re learning for travel, work, or personal interest, I’ll guide you step by step to build confidence and fluency from the ground up.
