About Chris

I’m an Ableton Live user and electronic music producer with years of experience working in the DAW, and I’ve recently completed a Bachelor of Electronic Music Production in London.

In addition to this, I am also the creator of the global 21 Day Music Producer program which has sold to over 3,000 students to date, from across more than 80 countries.

My background combines formal training with real-world, practical production skills. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, usable concepts and adapting my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning style.

My goal is to make music production feel accessible, enjoyable, and creatively empowering — not confusing or intimidating.

My lessons are practical, structured, and tailored to your goals. I focus on hands-on learning in Ableton Live, helping you understand why things work, not just which buttons to click.

Lessons typically run 60 minutes and are designed around your own projects (we can even start one from scratch together), so progress feels real and motivating.

On top of recently completing a bachelor of Electronic Music Production in London, I have years of experience using Ableton Live for music production and enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, usable steps.

My lessons are ideal for beginners and early-stage producers of any age who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to finish tracks, and want clear guidance in a supportive, relaxed environment.

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I first attended a rock concert for the band Green Day in 2005. Since then I always wanted to play drums and began taking lessons. I played in a number of bands since then, and over the last 5 years have become much more involved in the electronic music scene. Studying for a diploma at London's Point Blank university, and producing many EDM tracks for others.
  • 2) Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I listen to all styles of music, but my favourite is still rock/pop/punk, and also the softer side of EDM (Afro house, deep house, etc).
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or 'riveting' lesson you could personally give to one of your students.

The most difficult but rewarding aspect is when complete beginners grasp the simple concept of how to understand tempo/timing for the first time. This is not easy to teach as it involves a portion of "feeling the music". But when they understand it, the learning curve greatly accelerates.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

They all have their quirks and challenges. I think the Violin seems difficult. I don't play it myself but there is so much to master it, including breathing rhythm which no one ever considers.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

Only one thing. Persistence. If you want to learn something bad enough, if you persist you will master it, regardless of any previous experience.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Paul McCartney (no reason needed), Avicii to understand how he can always create such good melodies, and Tre Cool - the drummer of Green Day who kick started my interest in music originally.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your musical journey, or your days at 'music school'.

Way back in 2011, I got to tour around Australia with Good Charlotte on their arena tour. They were one of my child hood hero bands. Partying in nightclubs with them after shows was such a surreal experience.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

In electronic music, I always like to explain both the process of how to do something step by step, but also why we do it. I like to fully understand what the student wants to achieve first, and then build an entire learning structure around helping them achieve that. I am proud of the positive feedback I have received from my students over the years, and many of them still come to me when they want to learn a different aspect of producing.
