About Lea

I’m Lea, a Chemical Engineer who recently moved to Australia. While my professional background is in engineering, I’ve always had a passion for languages, and French is a particular love of mine. As a non-native, but nearly fluent speaker, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and am excited to help others navigate these hurdles.

I’ve previously tutored French to beginners, focusing on building their confidence and helping them develop practical language skills. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to share my love for the language while supporting others in their learning journey.

I believe in a patient and encouraging approach to teaching, especially for those just starting out. I aim to create a positive learning environment where you can feel comfortable making mistakes, because that’s how we learn and grow.

About the lesson

Key Tips:

I focus on helping beginners feel comfortable and confident as they start learning French. My lessons are designed to build strong foundational skills, including vocabulary, basic grammar, and pronunciation, with lots of speaking practice from the start.

Teaching Methodology:
I use engaging, interactive activities like simple conversations, games, and listening exercises to make learning enjoyable. I aim to keep things practical, so you can start using French in everyday situations.

Typical Length of Lesson:
Each lesson typically lasts 45 minutes, which is enough to introduce new concepts, review, and practice, all while keeping it fun and manageable.

Qualifications and Experience:
While I'm not a native speaker, I am nearly fluent in French, with a deep understanding of its grammar and structure. I have experience tutoring beginners and love helping others gain confidence in the language.

Target Audience:
I teach French to beginners of all ages who are just starting out or looking to improve their basic skills.
