About Mohammed-Rayn
I’m currently studying Law at the University of Liverpool, having previously completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at King Edward’s School Birmingham. During my own education, I received tutoring — particularly for my entrance exams — which gave me first-hand experience of what works most effectively for students preparing for high-pressure exams. This personal experience allows me to understand both the academic and emotional sides of exam preparation, helping me support students in a way that’s both effective and reassuring. Beyond my academic studies, I’ve always had a strong interest in education and helping others. During my time at school, I helped establish a food bank and home bank initiative alongside others, providing vital support to local families. I also volunteered as a teaching assistant at a primary school, which gave me valuable experience working directly with younger students and strengthened my passion for teaching and supporting students at different stages of their education. Alongside my studies, I’ve gained experience tutoring students across 11+ entrance exams and GCSE subjects, helping them build confidence, improve their understanding, and prepare effectively for their exams. My approach is always patient, supportive and tailored to the individual needs of each student.

My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on building both subject knowledge and exam technique to help students feel confident and prepared. For 11+ preparation, I cover all aspects of the entrance exams, including verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths, comprehension, and writing. I break down complex problems into simple steps, ensuring students understand the methods fully while building speed and accuracy under timed conditions. For GCSE students, I tutor Maths, English, Sciences (Combined or Triple), Geography, and Religious Studies. My approach balances clear explanations with plenty of practice, ensuring students can apply what they’ve learnt effectively in exam scenarios. I also help students develop strong revision techniques, exam strategies, and confidence when answering different question types. All lessons are structured but flexible, with regular feedback, targeted homework (where useful), and clear goals set to track progress. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, build understanding, and achieve their full potential
