My teaching method is to set out a clear plan ensuring both the student and I know exactly what is to be covered each session. During the first session I will identify what the student is mostly struggling with and ensure lessons are focused on that area. I also ensure I let the student know of what materials to prepare for pre-lesson to discuss during the lesson. I also assign homework to make sure the student practices what is learnt in the session and give useful feedback. My main approach is to use and work through past papers and swear by these as this is what got me an A! However, the sessions are varied and do include learning, note taking, revision, discussion, exam technique and past paper questions. These are tailored to the specific needs of the individual student as not one student is the same and not all students learn in the same way.
