About Thomas
I'm a second year law student who completed the HSC during the second COVID wave :( in 2021. My passion for teaching comes from establishing a tried and tested methodology for studying maths over the years. I found that getting results in maths was very formulaic, if I applied the same process for each test and exam.
I want to share my methods with others in order to simplify the process required to achieve great results in maths, with repeatable study techniques that are easy to understand and apply.

My approach to teaching maths is a combination of teaching new content and revising what you've done in class. Each lesson I clarify which topic and concept you covered that week, and then explain step by step how to solve problems in those areas. After an explanation of the relevant concepts we can move on to guiding you through solving them yourself. If you have a good understanding already, then we'll go ahead with what you're doing next week and give you a head-start on that.
As we get closer to a test, I like to give my students 2-3 practice exams in the relevant topic areas that we can go through together, so that by the time you go into your exam you've seen plenty of similar questions that will help you.
My lessons are suitable for any maths students from Year 7-12. I've taught students who are at the top and bottom of their class, it's all about improving your personal mark.
I've been a student in your situation and I've also been teaching students like you for almost 2 years now, so I know exactly what you're going through.

Thomas has been a great tutor and mentor in terms of teaching HSC subjects: Economics, Business Studies, and Legal studies. He utilises real life examples to help students grasp a deeper understanding of concepts and overall simplifying the content. Also, he provides techniques and the skills necessary for essay writing and short answer responses. Overall, Thomas is a diligent tutor who's competent in teaching HSC subjects.
