Languages teacher able to teach English as a second language, Spanish up to A-Level, French up to Key Stage 3 and conversational Portuguese

I was Jack’s University Tutor PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages. I find Jack to be an extremely personable, pleasant and considerate individual, who is reliable and conscientious in approach to everything he undertakes. Jack took his role as Course Representative seriously, attending meetings with the Programme Director, and representing our cohort effectively. Jack showed good leadership skills and the ability to offer clear and constructive feedback to his peers in a supportive manner.

Jack demonstrates excellent subject, cultural and curriculum knowledge. During his PGCE programme, he taught Spanish from KS3 to A Level, and French to KS3. Jack has high expectations of himself and maintains a very calm and purposeful manner when teaching.

Jack is a pleasant, kind and well-qualified individual who is reliable and very patient. I had the pleasure of teaching him Spanish in the Sixth Form and from early on he showed a talent for the language, obtaining an A*. After that, he continue to help when he had a chance, talking to the new students and helping them with their oral exams. They loved him!

Jack is an excellent teacher and even a better person. He was working for an academic year at our school in Galicia (Spain) as an English teacher for 3 to 12- year-old children. During his stay in our country, he also helped teachers to improve their English. Meanwhile Jack practised his Spanish, a language he has a great knowledge of, and he speaks fluently, despite not being a native speaker. Fun and patient, two of the qualities that best describe him, essential aspects for any teacher.

Jack is an experienced teacher of Spanish and knows how to get the best out of his students. He is skilled in planning lessons to improve speaking, writing, listening, speaking and translation skills. His Spanish knowledge is excellent and his greatsense of humour helps to make lessons engaging.
