About Vanessa
In my fifteen-year career, I have taught elementary, middle, and high school grades in both public and private schools. Also, I have taught freshman composition as an adjunct professor. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in literature and a master’s degree in secondary education. Additionally, I have served as both yearbook and literary magazine adviser for high school publications.

My teaching method centers around inquiry and cooperative learning, wherein my role is facilitator and coach. Students actively engage in learning that is relative to interests and instruction is based on real-world examples. Individual tutoring sessions are $35 per hour. Group tutoring sessions are $25/hour per person. In addition to tutoring, I offer proofreading and editing services. No job is too small. Please inquire about my rates.
