About Steve
I am a qualified UK teacher, married with one son, soon to be 18. I taught as a Primary teacher for a year after qualifying before moving to a Spain, (4 days after getting married!) to work in an International School. Upon returning to the UK I did 2 more years Primary teaching before securing a teaching job in a Special Needs School helping children from Y5 to Y12. These were vulnerable children with behavioural concerns and who easily became frustrated with work. I loved working at this school for 14 years, building very positive relationships and therefore gaining the trust of the students to help them achieve results, many of whom thought were impossible. Building positive relationships therefore for me is the foundation upon which to build success in my tutor sessions. I am told by my current tutees that they enjoy my sessions because I make them 'fun' and 'easy to understand'.
You will be surprised at what you are capable of ! I have the "key" to unlock your full potential. And you will have fun doing so !

School work can often leave pupils feeling anxious, confused or even demoralised.
With many years working with children it is my main goal to help you feel relaxed and happy to be working with me. You will been given many opportunities in each session to experience success and overcome some of the barriers to learning which you may have felt previously. Your self- confidence will improve along with your understanding as you make the progress you may have thought you could not achieve. I already have many tutees which have stayed with me since I started tutoring nearly 3 years ago.
