About Travis
With 17 years of teaching experience, I have guided 150 to 200 High School and College students in learning French effectively and confidently. My teaching philosophy is based on strong fundamentals and continuous practice.
I believe that mastering the basics is essential for long-term success, so I ensure that students fully understand each concept before moving ahead. I use clear explanations, structured lessons, and practical examples to make learning easier.
I also include regular speaking practice to help students build confidence and fluency. One of my notable achievements is helping students improve their academic performance and develop strong communication skills.
Many of my students have shown excellent progress and developed a genuine interest in French. I am committed to helping students succeed.

My teaching approach for French is designed to make learning clear, practical, and confidence-driven. I use real-life examples, everyday conversations, and simple case studies to help students understand how the language works in real situations.
This allows them to move beyond memorizing rules and start using French naturally in communication. I follow a flexible teaching style, adapting lessons based on each student’s level, pace, and personal goals, whether they are learning for exams, travel, or professional growth.
I encourage collaboration by involving students in discussions, role-plays, and interactive activities that strengthen their speaking and listening skills. I also maintain a compassionate and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning step by step.
Along with French, I also guide students in grammar, vocabulary building, pronunciation, listening skills, reading comprehension, and writing development, along with cultural awareness to provide a complete and meaningful learning experience.
