I love seeing students develop their skills and grow as individuals.
I have worked in a range of schools in Auckland, either as full-time teacher or as a reliever, and I have a young adult daughter.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology, have been teaching for 17 years and have 3 years tutoring experience online and in person.
I mainly provide lessons for secondary school students - Years 9-10, but have done some tutoring with Year 7 and 8 students.
I am also open to working with adults who would like help with improving their English language skills. I am not specifically ESOL/TESOL trained, but have taught ESOL students, and the majority of my tutoring students have been Chinese.
I base my tutoring around the specific needs and interests of my students. I enjoy exploring literature with my students, and love providing detailed feedback to help them to improve. I encourage critical thinking, and also like to help my students with techniques for studying and coping with their workload.
Lessons can range from 1hr-2hrs depending on the specific needs. I am flexible.
