About Anastasiia
I am a King’s College London Neuroscience & Psychology student who recently graduated from Dover Grammar School for Girls with straight A*/A grades in A-Level Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology, Russian and A grades in AS Film Studies and Criminology
I want to teach because I vividly remember the intense pressure and frustration of staring at complex physics equations and calculus problems, feeling like I was just expected to memorise formulas without any real context. It was only when I started breaking the topics down into simpler, logical pieces that everything changed for me.
My studies in neuroscience have shown me exactly why that is: real learning happens when you build strong, physical neural connections in your brain, not when you temporarily cram facts into your short-term memory.
I want to tutor because I want to be the guide I wish I had back then. I don't believe in rigid textbook lecturing. I want to look at a topic from an entirely new, easier perspective with you, use analogies that make sense, and help your brain create those "lightbulb moments" where a concept finally clicks for good. My goal is to take the stress out of STEM and show you that with the right approach, anyone can master these subjects.
