About Maria
Hi, I’m Maria! I am currently an undergraduate Economics & Management student at King's College London, having completed my A-Levels in 2023 in which I achieved A* in Maths, A* in Spanish, A in Economics and A* in Polish. I also achieved all grade 9’s in my GCSEs, with maths (alongside economics which I now study) being my favourite subject since the start. Throughout school I met many students who felt a strong dislike towards maths, purely because they found it overwhelming when they first looked at a problem. I would love to help anyone who feels this way, because maths is such a fundamental skill for further life. Having volunteered in many ways during my academic career, for example through leading PE classes or tutoring in maths and English, I have first-hand experience of how to successfully help others flourish. I truly love what I study, and I would love to pass on this passion to others too!

As a nurturing and empathetic individual, I am committed to making maths as straightforward and enjoyable for students as possible. Having had considerable experience tutoring younger students throughout secondary school, I have learnt to tailor my lessons to the unique needs of students and foster their self-confidence. Mathematics is my passion and I look to support KS3 and GCSE students on their journey to progressing in their mathematical abilities, whatever their ambitions may be. I do this through asking the students which areas they would like to focus on, and then practising a variety of exercises and questions to ensure they gain confidence on their weakest areas. My goal is to empower students to achieve their full potential in maths.
