About Alyssa
I am currently a Master's student at San Diego State University in the Evolutionary Biology department. While I am studying biology, I use a large amount of math and writing skills in my day to day life.
I have experience being a tutor for mainly middle school and elementary school level math as well as organic chemistry 1.
Learning in the current school system can be very stressful and overwhelming for students. I try to balance this stress with offering personalized one-on-one support.

I strive to be a supportive tutor who not only helps students understand and complete assignments, but also helps them grow in their confidence.
Math can be very intimidating and overwhelming for kids, so it is important for tutors to understand how to navigate this and make learning fun.
I have a passion for learning and education, and I want to share this with others when I teach.
I specialize in teaching 3rd grade-10th grade individuals, and while I do enjoy math, I am also available to tutor in the sciences and english.
