About Haylie
As a high school student, I understand concepts can be difficult to grasp. Reading and writing is hard to do, especially at a young age. During your sessions with me, you will be able to voice your concerns about subjects you don't understand. I'm fun and willing to take your ideas on how to help you understand the subject better but I will make sure you are staying focused during the sessions. I hope that together we can make school easier and more fun.

I use multiple techniques in order for my students to get the best understanding possible of the subject they are having trouble with. Those methods include application, alternation, and drills. My lesson plans start with review and making clear goals for the session. Homework for school is a priority before practice. I'll work with them for a quarter of the session before having them try on their own. Students will leave the session with assignments done, a clear understanding of the concept, and helpful feedback for the next session.
I am a Senior in high school so I understand school can get hard if the concept isn't understood. As a writer, I can teach the concept in a personalized way for each and every student to make the concept easier to understand.
I can work with fluent English speaking 3rd to 8th graders who need help with reading skills, grammar, literacy understanding, and writing.
