About Hannah
Hello! I'm Hannah and teaching is my passion.
I've just finished my Master's in Digital Journalism, and I graduated top of my class for my BA in English, Political Science and History. I had 4 A*s and 4As for my GCSEs, and an A*AAB for my A Levels. As a journalist, I've written over a hundred bylines in publications like The Guardian, Variety, Teen Vogue, NME and more.
I'm quite passionate about grammar in particular, and over the years I've learned to turn that enthusiasm into thoughtful tips that make you understand why things are they way they are in English (to a point anyway, sometimes English just makes zero sense and there's nothing we can do about it).
I'm also rather young, so my sessions would feel more like learning with a peer who just happened to go to uni a few months before you did, instead of learning from a wizened old soul with the wisdom of a thousand suns (an equally valid option).

I've had half a year's worth of experience teaching English and Maths to primary school, GCSE and A Level students, and they all love me (you're going to have to take my word for it).
My hour-long sessions (can do block sessions as well!) in English will go to the heart of the issue and move on only after we've resolved it. I like to focus each lesson on a particular creative writing/English past paper task that you would like to tackle that day. Along the way, we will be focusing on spelling, grammar, writing structure, and why using big words is not necessarily the way to go all the time.
My lessons will be for any level, from primary school to undergrad.
