About Kanyisa
I am a software engineer who is passionate about influencing high school students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). My goal is to teach my learners the problem-solving skills that are essential in pursuing a career in STEM. I am a strong believer in hard work and academic excellence which is evident in my getting seven distinctions in high school. I am also passionate about giving back to my community which I why I tutor underprivileged learners in my village for free during school holidays. My hope is that my love for science and technology can be transferred to every learner I have the privilege of teaching.

I aim to help learners understand the reasoning behind whatever theorem or theory I am teaching. For example, if I am teaching them calculus I will show them how it's just an extension of their existing knowledge in graphs and why it's so useful. I aim to pique their interest so that they are motivated to learn the more difficult concepts. I tutor in English, Xhosa and Zulu. I tutor all levels for Mathematics and Physical Sciences for grades 10 to 12.
