About Sergio
I have been active in the musical field for about 18 years and for more than 10 I have been carrying out various types of teaching activities both with and without the instrument. I played Rock, Pop, Folk, Funk, Jazz and other things.
I have participated in national and international awards, recorded records as a sideman and leader and played in various clubs, theaters, reviews and festivals.
I studied at the conservatories of Catania, Venice and Palermo and various private courses, seminars, masterclasses and more.
In this space I mainly target guitarists who want to improve their creative and technical skills on jazz and modern guitar. I am a professional and serious person and I expect the same punctuality and seriousness from my students. After all, I too have studied a lot with various teachers over the years and have always pursued my goals with seriousness and tenacity. If we have these characteristics in common, I will be happy to help you achieve the goals we will plan. The electric guitar is an exceptionally rich instrument of potential but often little used. By now the study of modern functional harmony, its application and related improvisation techniques is an element of great importance. Very often the students turn to me because they encounter creative, improvisational, technical obstacles and do not know how to "calibrate" a new and effective path. My aim is to enable them to be masters of themselves.
My lessons can tackle different items: harmony, improvisation, technique, reading, rhythmic solfeggio, elements of composition and arrangement, transcription and analysis of historical or modern only, and - above all - a constant practical application of the given materials.
I love to provide students with as many ideas and materials as possible for the creation of their own "tailor-made" study method and a personalized style. Since 2020 I have been dealing with these topics also on Guitarprof.it, one of the most followed Italian guitar blogs. Go have a look!
