About Finley
I'm Finley, and I'm 20 years old from the north east of England! I drive a little Peugeot that is slowly falling apart.
My first experience with music happened when I was 11, when I started learning the piano. Having never taken to much before, I was surprised to find out I had a real passion for the instrument, and later on music in general.
I sat my GCSE and A-Level music (as well as chemistry, but I'd rather forget that part), before taking a year out to figure out what I wanted to do. Eventually, I decided music was what made me happiest and began studying jazz at Leeds Conservatoire, where I still am today!
I also have a cat called Goose. He doesn't like jazz though, so we don't really get on.

Lessons, ultimately, vary drastically from student to student, however I believe that applying the techniques discussed to music the student is already passionate about is the best way to create a strong foundation from which a student is able to develop on their own.
I have over a decade of experience playing, learning, and teaching music to a wide variety of abilities and ages. I am grade 8 piano, with experience directing various ensembles. I am currently studying an undergraduate degree in jazz composition at a conservatoire, with a specialism in music tuition.
Lessons are for any age and level - ability on an instrument is highly recommended, even if rudimentary. Lessons range from 30 minutes to an hour.
