About Jago
Hello! My name is Jago, I’m 24 years old and currently in the second year of my Biology degree at the University of Bristol. I'm an easy down to earth chap who has a deep passion for biology, I believe it's the most incredible thing to learn about. Teaching you why your stomach grumbles when it's nearly lunch time, and gaining understanding on processes like those allowing you to read this message. It truly is an honour and once I've finished uni I plan to pursue a career teaching full time. In addition to my studies, I am also a parent, which has further developed my patience, organisational skills, and ability to connect with others. These qualities, combined with my teaching experience, make me well-suited for tutoring. I’ve worked with people of all ages in various educational and hands-on environments, including teaching watersports, working as a summer camp instructor, and leading after-school "Mad Science" classes. These roles allowed me to make learning fun, engaging, and accessible. Although this is my first time as an academic tutor, I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm and dedication to helping students thrive in their biology studies.
