About Darling
I'm a Columbia University graduate and marketing executive, founder, and author. I run a marketing and advertising practice, founded an independent publishing house, and my debut novel publishes in June 2026 — so I work with language, storytelling, and clear communication every single day.
That background shapes how I tutor. I help students write with purpose, think through problems methodically, and build genuine confidence in Math, Spanish, and English. As a Dominicana and former Toastmaster with a decade of public speaking, I know how to make ideas land — whether that's a tricky equation, a Spanish conversation, or a college application essay that needs to stand out.

My approach starts with figuring out where each student actually is — not where a textbook assumes they should be. I diagnose the gaps first, then build from there so concepts click instead of getting memorized and forgotten.
A typical lesson opens with a quick review of the last session, moves into the day's core concept with worked examples, then shifts to guided practice where the student does the work and I coach. We finish by recapping what stuck and setting one clear goal for next time.
I tutor Math, Spanish, and English, and coach students through college application essays. Lessons suit middle school through college level, and I adapt pace and difficulty to each student. As an Ivy League graduate, I bring firsthand experience with what strong academic work and competitive college admissions actually require."
